Participation & Spectator Code

Student-athletes, parents/guardians and spectators are responsible for their words and actions while attending Millcreek Township School District athletic events. It is the responsibility of these parties to embody their school and community with dignity and pride and represent good sportsmanship values for children and future high school student-athletes.

It is the expectation that all participants and spectators will agree to the following sportsmanship values to enjoy the privilege of participation in home and away Millcreek Township School District athletic events:

  1. Refrain from booing, taunting, intimidating, and directing personal comments or language towards student-athletes, coaches, officials, and other spectators. This includes home and away games as well as platforms separate from the competitive arena, including social media.
  2. Allow the coaches to coach, the players to play, and the officials to officiate. Any negative behavior that disrupts the flow of the game and/or does not adhere to the standards of an academic setting will not be tolerated.
  3. Support teammates, student-athlete participants, and athletic programs with positive encouragement.
  4. Avoid any conversation or action that is detrimental to team culture, initiatives, and goals.

Failure to follow the above will result in immediate removal from the event and could involve suspension from future MTSD athletic events.
